Our Support & Navigation team offers one-on-one guidance for:

Making Virtual Health Care Easy

Accessing healthcare shouldn’t be complicated — and with Pictou County Community Health Centre (PCCHC), it doesn’t have to be. Our Virtual Care Assistance program helps you get connected to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers online, even if you’re not sure where to start.

If you’re new to virtual care, don’t worry — we’ll walk you through it step-by-step, making sure you feel comfortable and confident using the technology.

What We Can Help With

Our Virtual Care Navigator can assist with:

Setting up an account for virtual healthcare platforms (like Maple or VirtualCareNS)

Booking and attending online medical appointments

Troubleshooting connection or technology issues

Explaining how to use your smartphone, tablet, or computer for care visits

Providing access to private, reliable internet for your virtual appointment (if needed)

We know that taking the next steps after a visit can feel confusing or overwhelming. That’s why our team follows up personally to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

How We Support You

Our Follow-Up Care team will:

Check in after your appointment to see how things went

Confirm that referrals or prescriptions have been received and understood

Help you book follow-up appointments or additional care

Provide reminders for upcoming visits or tests

Offer help connecting to community programs or ongoing supports
